Car Hire.
This product is available to both private and commercial customers.
On the occurrence of an insured event, RSI provides a rental vehicle to the insured as a replacement, for a limited period.
- RSI arranges the hired car after receiving the full information from the insurer or broker about the loss or damage.
- The hired car is arranged for the maximum allowed by the policy. The period ends as soon as any one of the following takes place:
- the date on which the vehicle is repaired to the customers’ satisfaction (if repair was authorised);
- the date on which the insurer settles the claim by a cash payment;
- the date on which the insurer replaces the vehicle.
- This car-hire option includes:
- a vehicle of RSI’s choice but in the class agreed to on the car-hire contract;
- unlimited kilometres;
- car accident damage cover;
- car theft cover;
- airport surcharge and tourism levy (where relevant);
- delivery or collection up to 25 kilometres from the nearest contracted car-hire company;
- any two declared drivers.
Access to preferential rates on car hire (average of a 40% discount) for private use for the insured (outside of an insured event).
